Presbyopia or age-related blurry near vision is a gradual loss of near vision that occurs as people age, where our eyes naturally have a harder time seeing up close. Most people start noticing it shortly after age 40, which worsens over time. Presbyopia is a normal part of aging, and the name comes from the Greek word meaning "old eye".
